Hon’ble Education Minister Visits Virtual Smart Classroom Studio in Dehradun

On 05/07/2025, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Hon’ble Education Minister visited Uttarakhand’s state-of-the-art Virtual Smart Classroom Studio in Dehradun. This is the central hub powering live and recorded lessons for government schools across the state. Equipped with two Hi-Tech Studios with advanced audio-visual systems, interactive teaching tools, and real-time connectivity, the studio facility allows expert teachers to reach students in even the most remote rural areas. This ensures children in far-flung villages receive the same quality of education as those in urban schools, breaking barriers of distance and accessibility.

During the visit, the Hon’ble Minister toured the facility and observed how lessons are designed, recorded, and broadcast to 1680 classrooms across Uttarakhand. The project is already operational in 800 schools, enabling a seamless blend of curriculum-aligned content, interactive sessions, and personalized teaching support.

The Hon’ble education minister praised the dedication of the teaching and technical teams, emphasizing that this initiative is a milestone in bridging learning gaps and fostering equal opportunities for all students. Demonstrations at the studio highlighted how modern technology is being integrated into traditional teaching methods to create an engaging and inclusive learning experience.
