Uttarakhand has introduced the Virtual Smart Classrooms Project, a major step toward bringing digital learning to students across the state. This initiative aims to make education more interactive, accessible, and inclusive by leveraging modern technology.
Inauguration Highlights
The Virtual Smart Classrooms Project was inaugurated today at the Virtual Smart Class Studios, Rajeev Gandhi Navodaya Vidyalaya, Nanoorkheda, Dehradun. The event was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami and Hon’ble Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat as the chief guests. Students from several government schools participated in live interactive sessions via satellite communication, marking the official launch of the project and demonstrating its potential to transform digital learning across the state.
Connecting Classrooms Across the State
The project has established two advanced digital studios in Dehradun and introduced virtual classroom technology in 1,680 government classrooms. It provides interactive content in Hindi and English, and features an AI-based analytics system that allows personalized learning and student assessment.
Features of the Virtual Smart Classrooms Project
The project connects 840 government schools through a centralized digital network and offers:
- Live, interactive teaching sessions via digital connectivity
- Personalized learning and assessment powered by AI
- Engaging 3D educational content in Mathematics, Science, and English
- Data dashboards for monitoring and evaluation by administrators
This ensures that even the most remote schools in the Himalayas are part of Uttarakhand’s digital learning ecosystem.
